But that doesn't mean I dislike what's going on here. Do I wish this stuff had been done with practical effects? I sure do. This was, at the time, the biggest movie Summers had made, and he clearly was relishing the idea of unleashing a bunch of CGI mayhem involving sand storms, rotten ghouls, and other such hokum.
